Cairo: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Qatar’s Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a phone conversation to discuss efforts aimed at reviving the Gaza ceasefire agreement and implementing its three outlined phases.
According to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the conversation took place as both nations are crucial mediators between Israel and Hamas.
The ministers also discussed how to move forward with an Arab-led reconstruction plan for Gaza and decided that more coordination is necessary to keep rising tensions in the region under control.
As a final solution to the conflict, they emphasized the significance of cooperating to start a political settlement that guarantees long-term regional stability through the creation of a Palestinian state.
